The Study Skills Workshop brings together aspects for
developing learning competencies into a singular system that corresponds
to the manner in which our brain functions. It consists of the following
sub-modules:

Mind
Mapping Techniques
Learn how the Brain works and how to stimulate it with the use of lines,
words, images and colours. Use Mind Maps for creative writing and report
writing, planning an event, in decision making, making notes and many
more.

Creative
Thinking
Recognize the value of creativity and learn the various application of
creative thinking tools. Explore how present work processes can be re-organised
creatively.

Self-Management
Knowing how to manage
one's time, setting goals and dealing with emotions are useful skills
that a student should possess. The ability to balance all the things that
seems to come at the same time will differentiate a good student from
a great one, and improves significantly the quality of life.

Stress-Management
The present lifestyle
tends to generate all kinds of stress to people, even to students. There
are pressures in all areas of life which has led some to react rather
negatively to the stresses and strains of living.Stress need not overcome
us, nor do we need to continue to suffer from it. We can learn to cope
with it.

Effective
Team Management
Understand the importance of teams, and the goals, resources, processes
and relationships that define the team. Learn how to harness the team’s
strengths to achieve a win-win situation for the team and for the individuals.
